To be fair, as an American in 2025, I often do feel a bit like I should just toss myself in the bin upon entering pretty much any foreign country, especially Europe, so perhaps Sweden is on to something...
Don’t take it too hard, Tim! Everyone over here knows that not all Americans are behind what’s happening over there. I find that I am met with commiseration more than scorn.
I must turn my toothpaste tube so I don't see the front because everytime I do, I read their branding phrase and want to grab coins out of my purse: "Wake Up Brush Teeth Make Change." I'd switch just to avoid that but the rest taste so sugary.
These signs made me chuckle - thank you! The first one from Japan reminded of my parents' experience living there. They noticed that businesses seemed to be in love with English words but put them together in a random way that didn't make sense grammatically. So, what service does We Be Parsley offer?
Thanks, Lizziebeth! If you look through the comments on that note, you will see that I eventually revealed that it's... a hair salon. No, I don't get it either.
‘Hotel Hotel’ had me in tears. Sometime it’s the simple things!

Wow, that’s a wild slogan! Wouldn’t it be even funnier if the toothpaste cost exactly $5.00?
Yes. Yes it would!
Oh, great collection!! These are amusing and interesting at the same time!! Hotel Hotel, and the truck with the tapes are my personal favs!
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed them, Anjali. The truck is probably my favorite, too.
